It really takes some time to cook the pineapple paste, but ready-made pineapple paste are usually too sweet. The result is satisfying. Tangy and slightly sweet. This may be my once a year affair, standing by the stove to stir the paste non-stop for more than an hour is no joke... too much for an aunty like me.
